So, I suppose this question must have been answered a hundred times in this subreddit, but I haven't been able to find the right thread. When I bring vocal samples into my projects and start putting them into sequences where their pitch is changed, the length of the vocals also change. Much like how when you change the spinning rate of an old LP record, the pitch of the sound played from the LP is altered.
A faster spinning record produces a more high frequent sound and a slower spinning record produces a deeper, low-end sound. While toying with my samples there's the same effect, but in reverse. When I pitch my sound up the samples plays faster and when I pitch it down it plays slower. What I want to find out is how (if possible) to get the different-pitched samples to play at the same speed.A great point of reference is Dillon Francis' new remix tune, Suit and Tie, where the title line is played at different pitches at what seems like equal speed. Thanks for taking the time to help a fellow producer out!.
